• University Storm Recovery Updates

    UPDATE: Tuesday, Oct. 29, 8:30 a.m.
We are pleased to announce that Wi-Fi service has been restored to the Asheville Center. Current students, faculty, and staff may now access the building for study, work or other necessary activities. Please note there may be occasional short outages as our service provider continues the recovery process.

Drinking water is not available in the building. Some bottled water is available on site, but we encourage anyone using the building to bring their own drinking water if possible. The bathrooms on site now have working toilets.

We appreciate your patience and understanding as we navigate the challenges posed by Hurricane Helene. Please stay tuned for further updates.

Educating Future Church Leaders

LTSS New Life Fund

Your generosity makes it possible for students to pursue their next steps in ministry as they learn from educators who are leaders in their fields.

The New Life Fund is the lifeblood of Lutheran Theological Southern Seminary. Gifts to this fund provide the resources for educating future pastors and leaders of the church. In addition, they provide state-of-the-art teaching technologies for the classroom.

The fund provides important financial flexibility for LTSS, allowing our beloved seminary to respond to our community’s changing needs. Gifts of every size help support day-to-day operations and provide opportunities for students to worship, learn and grow together in faith.

Annual Scholarships

Annual scholarships are a great way to make an immediate impact because students receive 100 percent of the funding now. Unlike endowments, these gifts to the LTSS annual fund are entirely expendable and are awarded right away. While unrestricted scholarship support can happen at any level, a named annual scholarship requires a giving commitment at the specified amount each year, for no fewer than four years.

There are two funding options for annual scholarships:

  • $30,000 - can be paid at once or over four years ($7,500 per year)
Donors can name and designate their annual scholarship to an area of campus most meaningful to them.
  • $10,000 - can be paid at once or over four years ($2,500 per year)
Donors can name their annual scholarship. Donor is not able to designate their gift—this is awarded to students with demonstrated financial need only.
